Miss Sporty Wonder Smooth Lipstick Review

Saturday, 31 December 2016

This was the first time for me trying out Miss Sporty lipsticks and makeup in general, the brand is known to be a drugstore and affordable brand. I purchased two lipsticks from their wonder smooth collection heroic copper 500 and wonder fuchsia 203.

Applying too much of the wonder fuchsia lipstick made my lips look bright pink which is something I don't like I prefer a suttle and dark pink, I tried applying with a lip brush and using less of the product and it looked quite better and was more wearable for me, as they say, a little goes a long way.

The lipstick heroic copper is beautiful and a perfect colour for fall it is almost like brown and peach mixed together which looked really nice. If you have lighter colour lips you may find that this is a much better of a browner shade, but darker lips it will be more of a peachy brown. Both lipsticks have a sweet berry smell which is positive thing about this product. Packaging is good matches the colour of the lipstick and has a clear plastic lid.

Overall I was really happy with the heroic copper lipstick I love it as a everyday lipstick, the fuchsia lipstick is not for me as I don't like bright pink colours. You can purchase this lipstick from Superdrug. Miss Sporty is a cool trendy and fun brand it is especially for makeup beginners and experimenters. Their makeup is affordable but also to good quality.

Travel Makeup/Toiletries Hacks

Friday, 14 October 2016

These travel hacks will help not only when you are travelling but in your everyday life as well, it will save you money and space. All of these tips I do and I love doing them because they save me money and are more convenient.

Buy Travel Size Items

This first hack is not only useful for when you are travelling but in your everyday life as well, as this is a money saver. Buying travel size items rather than full sized items can mean you can save a lot of money as well as say you want to buy a new product but you are not sure whether to buy it or not you can buy the travel size version of it which will be a smaller version of the product and see if you like it and if you do you can always buy the full-size one if you feel you need to.

But always do your research first, because it's not like this all time fill sized products may be cheaper than travel sized you just have to do your research when buying.

Use Blush As Eyeshadow or Eyeshadow As Blush

A blush and eyeshadow can be used as an each other, you can use some of your shimmery gold, peach, pink or red eyeshadows as blush or you can use your blush colours as eyeshadow, this will save space when you travel as well as save you money.

Create Your Own Palette

If you have a lot of eyeshadow palettes or separate dual eyeshadows and blushes, and you only use some of the colours from them, you can create your own palette by choosing your favourite and most used eyeshadow colours you will be using, you can also add your blush colours as well. If not a palette you can create your own box or bag, this will be helpful when you are travelling as it will save you space. You can purchase these online Mac and Urban Decay have their own

Double-Sided Makeup Brushes

You can purchase makeup brushes that are double sided, so one side is  an eyeshadow brush and the other side is a blending brush, another one with an eyeliner brush and the other side lip brush, another side with foundation brush and other side concealer brush and so on, this will save you a lot of space as you will not need to carry a lot of brushes with you when you travel, but also will be helpful for you.

Use Reusable Travel Bottles

If you have a big bottle of something but only have little product in it, to save space you can empty that product into a travel sized bottle which you can get in any size and this will be convenient it will save you space. Another tip is if you are travelling keep some empty travel bottles with you, you never know when you might need them and they will be useful, you fill one with water and use that as water to cleanse your face or as an emergency.

Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick Review

Monday, 15 August 2016

I am reviewing this drugstore lipstick which is from Collection Cosmetics, I purchased this from Superdrug, it is a very affordable lipstick it retails for £2.99 and it has other colours available from red to pink and bright to dark in Collection's lasting colour lipstick range.

The colour of the lipstick is very true to its description, it applies as the colour it is shown as. The colour is very beautiful, it is a dark medium brown colour, a perfect colour to wear any day.

The lipstick itself has a soft smooth formula and it is very moisturising and creamy love how it feels on the lips, it does not smudge at all and it is very pigmented, it's not a matte lipstick but still I feel it is very long lasting than other lipsticks, if you are going to eat or drink something it will start to come off and will transfer, but it can last on your lips for a couple of hours. After application, the lipstick does not feel drying at all after and I love the finishing result of the lipstick, perfect as a fall lipstick.

The packaging is pretty neat as well, it has the colour black and silver, it's not overly designed it's simple packaging and very convenient. It has the name and colour of the lipstick at the moment so you know exactly which colour it is. Also, it has a very sweet scent to it which is not bothering at all.

I think for the price it is a very good lipstick. I will definitely be purchasing this lipstick again in the future and in different colours. Overall, I do recommend you purchase this product because it's affordable and also I think it's a great quality lipstick and there are a lot of shades you can choose from. Available at Superdrug and Boots for purchase.

Have you tried any of collection's lipsticks?

Here are some great ways to add fresh fruit to your diet kids will love them, and to all of these ways you can add as much fruit as you like.
I also did a post Fun Ways To Eat Fruit, check that out to discover alternative ways you can eat more fruit.

Juice

You can use fruits to make pure natural juice without sugar or other ingredients just fruit, it is simple and very healthy. You can make green juice and a lot more juices here are some juice recipes. You can plenty by keeping it in the fridge.

Smoothie

You can make your own smoothies, there are a lot of recipes out there, or you can purchase ready-made smoothies, you can add fruit in there. To make your smoothie you will need a liquid ingredient this can be any of your choice, milk, yoghurt, coconut water or even fruit juice. You can use frozen and fresh fruit to your smoothie and then blend them together until you have a fresh smooth smoothie.

Milkshake

Another way is to make a milkshake, pick the fruit you like and then choose your favourite ice cream and add about 3 scoops of it ant to finish off add milk, for a thinner milkshake add more milk, to start off you can add about 1/4 of a cup. The difference between a milkshake and a smoothie is that in milkshake the key ingredient is ice cream.

This is a very simple way to drink water, but with added fruit to give the water a hint of fruit taste to it. All you need to do is add water to a jug and add in your favourite fruits, the fruits will give out taste into the water, there are some infused water combinations on my Pinterest check them out for ideas on which fruits you can use. Fun Ways To Eat Fruit

Sunday, 7 August 2016

If you want to be more creative when eating fruit, especially with your children then here are some ways, in which you can add fruit to and eat fruit in fun ways, so they will taste even more tasty and look even more beautiful.

What we eat is often affected by how appealing or easy it is, these ideas for fruit will definitely make them fun and appealing and are great ways to encourage children to eat healthy and enjoy fruit.

Ice Cream and Fruit cone

When eating ice cream to the ice cream you can add some fruit in there like banana, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and all the other types of berries. Children obviously love ice cream, so they would also love the fruit in there as well.

Or, you can eat ice cream with fruit as a fruit cone, like a normal ice cream cone but add a lot of fruit in there. You can even use ice cream cups or even a plate.

Chocolate

It's not important to have a chocolate fountain, simply just melt some chocolate into a bowl and cut some fruit into pieces like apple, banana, and strawberries and dip the fruit into the chocolate and just enjoy it. You can also keep them in the fridge, so the chocolate goes hard and make them into chocolate covered frozen fruit.

Fruit skewers, Fruit pots, and Fruit salad

Using this way to eat fruit is an easy way, the fruit looks colorful all together, to make fruit skewers just add your favourite fruit onto the skewer stick, it is great to have as a snack or at a party, make sure your children are safe with the sticks.

Fruit pots are products you can get from the supermarket these are good to add to your children's packed lunch, you can also make them at home. A fruit salad is a big salad of chopped fruit you can make in a bowl or plate, and you can add juice, syrup or mint leaves to it.

Cake or Tart

Add fruit to a cake or a tart, there are a lot of recipes out there that include fruit as an ingredient, you can place the fruit at the top and inside the cake or tart, using strawberries is very common in cakes. Or, another fun way is to make strawberry shortbread kabobs they look and taste amazing, check my Pinterest board for the full recipe.

Ice lollies

You can get an ice lolly tray which makes lollies (or you can use empty yoghurt pots) and add your preferred juice and then add chopped fruit which you would like to have, there are alternative ways which you can make them this includes using yoghurt, milk, water or fruit puree. Then leave to freeze and enjoy your lollies, these will be great for summer.

Jelly

Make jelly and add fruit inside the jelly and then leave it in the fridge for a couple of hours and when it turn into jelly you can decorate it even more by adding fruit on the top and around the jelly.

Yoghurt

In yogurt add some fruit like all the berries or any of your choice, or you can get yoghurts that already have fruit in so you can eat it as it as. Another way is to make frozen fruity yoghurt bites you can find the full recipe here.

Glorious Treats

Custard or Trifle

Make custard of your choice banana or strawberry, and before serving add chopped fruit like banana, apple, strawberries and other berries into the custard, it will taste delicious with cold custard. Or, perhaps trifle, trifle includes jelly custard and double cream you can add fruit to the jelly and at the top of trifle with some grated chocolate.

Check out my Pinterest board fun ways to eat fruit and more tips and methods.

I hope you enjoyed these ideas and will use them to eat more fruit and encourage your children as well.
Not only can these ideas work, you can also cut fruit in awesome shapes using cookie cutters or a melon baller to make them look cute.

Another tip, when having breakfast, dessert or even dinner prepare a fruit salad along side it, you can even get plates for kids that have 3 or four sections in them which are called sectioned plates so in one section you can add fruit and vegetables.

DIY Makeup Brush Holder

Saturday, 30 July 2016

If you need somewhere to storage your makeup brushes, then this DIY makeup brush holder is the best way to organise them. To make a DIY makeup brush holder you can either use, a jar this can be a jam jar or any type of jar you have, a pringles box, a can this can be a soup can or beans can or even a glass. Use anything you like and before making it test it out whether you will like it or not by placing your brushes in them.

For this tutorial, I will be using a Pringles Box.

You can get pringle boxes in a small size or a large size, don't worry if you don't have a small box you can always use the large can and cut it carefully using a blade to make it smaller, and that's exactly what I did.

For this DIY you will need:
-pringles box
-paper of your choice to wrap around
-scissors
-blade
-sellotape
-superglue
-decorations of your choice

1. First, cut the pringles box in half, you can do this by using the blade, but be careful with it and start cutting at a halfway point on the box and cut around making it smaller until you get the size you want. If you already have the small box you don't need to do this step.

2. Secondly, get your paper this can be wrapping paper, coloured paper or any type that you want to use, I use gold reflective paper. Start off by making sure you are using the right amount it is best to use a bit more because that can always be cut off or hidden, start with one side of the paper on the box and sellotape that on securely. Then get the other side of the paper and tightly wrap it all the way round, you don't want it to be loose, so make sure you can do it tightly as possible, and it will be best to secure that down with super glue so you can't see any sellotape on the box.

3. There should be paper left at the top it will be good to have some left so you can hide the c circumference of the box, to tuck that inside cut down at four sides and apply glue to the inside and then fold it inside the box.

4. This is the fun part, now you can decorate your box, I used silver glitter foam at the bottom of the box and added a yellow crown foam sticker. I had lots more like sequins and gems but I preferred mine to look nice and simple.

Then that's all done, you have a perfect makeup brush holder.

To create volume in the box or to make the brushes stand up higher you can add some beads, marbles, rice or coffee beans. You can organise them by labelling them face makeup brushes and eye makeup brushes. It's affordable and you can design it the way you like it.

I hope you enjoyed this DIY makeup brush holder, and I will definitely be making more and next time I will be using an acrylic clear vase and adding marbles and beads, a bit like this image.

Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil Review

Wednesday, 27 July 2016

I am actually not a brow person, because my eyebrows are naturally very dark so I don't normally do them, but they do need filling as they are uneven, but this is a product I really wanted to try and I loved trying out this brow product, this is probably my first ever brow product. Normally, if I want to fill my eyebrows I will use a black eyeliner or a angled brush and some black eyeshadow.

The new benefit product claims to be 12-hour waterproof, I tested out the product for about 6 hours and it still looked pretty alright, so it could probably last 12 hours only with the benefit brow gel which makes it budge-proof. I would say it can smudge a bit if touched or washing your face.

There are six colours available from 1 being the lightest and 6 the darkest, I am reviewing the darkest colour which is number 6 deep. When I first swatched this on my hand it was quite hard for me to get the colour, so I had to try harder but didn't want to break the small diamond tip. As soon as you get it working the colour then easily comes out.

Packaging

I do have to say when I first open the product from its packaging the product made me say wow, the packaging for the brow pencil is beautiful, I love the jewelled shape lid of the pencil. the pencil itself is a twist pencil, so you twist it for the product to come up to how much you want it to, which is great because that means no sharpening.

Product

This product is a sample product, so this is not the full sized product, the full sized product comes with a spooly which is an eyebrow comb on the opposite side, so you can apply with the pencil and then brush with the spooly comb, as this does not have the spooly comb I used my own separate one. The product itself does go on quite lightly, therefore you would not have to worry about putting too much on. The custom goof proof tip on the brow pencil is actually helpful, it allows you to have more precision when filling your eyebrows.

When I was actually filling in my eyebrows with this product it, I actually noticed the wax pencil of the product was actually coming off as little circle bits, making some areas of it look dark and some light. That was because I was trying too hard with it, so I suggest you go lightly with it as it will work better if you apply firmly. Other than that, I think this is a good product eyebrow product and can help you achieve the eyebrow look you want.

Overall, the product does help to fill your eyebrows and gives them a bolder look. For a full price of £18.50 I would probably not buy this, but I would recommend you try out the sample size of this product if you are able to.

This product is available at Boots,

Carex Hand Care Review

Monday, 25 July 2016

As well as looking after your skin, body and face, we must admit washing your hands is the most important. Before we can look after ourselves we must make sure we look after our hands because our hands are the part of our body that we use to do a lot of things with. That's why handwash especially anti bacterial handwash is very important to use at least 7 times a day to make sure your hands are clean. Carex have a lot of antibacterial hand washes in different ranges you can find them here. I also did a review on Carex Shower Gel, which is my favourite shower product to use you can find the review here.

Carex have a wide range of hand washes, fun edition which are sweet and scented hand washes and their original ranges which include careplus and protectplus handwashes. The fun edition hand washes are encouraging for children to wash and keep their hands clean, as they have different scents, including love hearts, chocolate orange, bubble gum and strawberry lace which of all children will love to use.

The three hand washes I tried out were love hearts, argon oil and cocoa and bubble gum. The love hearts smell exactly like the love heart sweets and the bubble gum smells exactly like original bubble gum, they are very true to their description. However, the fun edition hand washes are not really for me they would work best with children as I would not prefer my hands to smell of sweets, the argon oil and cocoa is something that is more suitable for me, and I have also tried the Carex Original handwash which smells amazing even though it doesn't have a specific smell to it.

As well as hand wash there are other ways to keep your hands clean when you are out and about, that's by using hand sanitizer or hand gel. The carex moisture plus hand gel has a floral type of scent to it which stays on your hands for quite a while and once you apply it onto your hands it gives a cold cooling sensation for a couple of seconds. They also have different scents in this range as well, as well as fun edition which again will be encouraging for children to use.

Another alternative is hand wipes, the carex hand wipes can be used on your hands, face and body, they have only one size which is 15 hand wipes which are actually travel size packs, so they are useful if you are travelling. They are perfect for cleaning your hands and smell refreshing. You can find the hand wipes here Refreshing Hand Wipes.

In general, keeping your hands clean is a must and with all these hand products you are definitely going to be protecting them. My hands definitely feel clean when I use carex and they are affordable to purchase online or in stores. I will definitely be using carex products in the future, they have always been my favourite because they are perfect for your skin no matter what skin type you have.

These products were sent to me, this does not change my opinion about them my review is my own honest opinion.

Here are 8 different hairstyles you can make using bobby pins:

1. Triangle Style Bobby Pins
For this unique hairstyle gather some hair from the left and from the right, then pin two bobby pins at opposite sides and then secure them at the bottom to form a triangle. You can join the bobby pins together from the ends to make sure it is secure.

Other than these beautiful hairstyles you can always do your hair in whichever style you like and then secure it with bobby pins, if you want to keep your hair out the way then you can use bobby pins to set it into the position you want, so it will look all good. 10 Ways To Use Bobby Pins | Tips and Hacks

Tuesday, 19 July 2016

Bobby pins are hair pins that are either plastic or metal and are mostly used to hold your hair in place.
They can be called bobby pins, hair grips, hair pins, jumbo pins, or kirby grips. They are affordable to purchase and here's how you can use them in 10 different useful ways other than using them for your hair.

1. DIY Bobby Pins

You can DIY your bobby pins by using nail polish or acrylic paint to paint them to your own preferred colour, you can even add glitter on your bobby pins, to do this you need to make sure you add the glitter when the nail polish or paint is still wet so the glitter can dry with the polish or paint. You could even add a small flower of ribbon at the end of the bobby pin, the end result will look beautiful than the plain bobby pins.

LuxyHair

2. Awesome Hairstyles

You can make fun designs and create cute hairstyles using bobby pins, and to hold them together you can use dry shampoo, texture spray or hair spray to hold your hairstyles and bobby pins in place. You can find the Hairstyles here.

3. Chevron Earrings

You can use bobby pins to get more creative and make DIY chevron earrings, you can choose the colours and make your own design. The full method for making the DIY earrings you can find here Chevron Earrings From Bobby Pins

Creme de la craft

4. Storing Bobby Pins

To keep all of your bobby pins together you can store them in a tic tac container or any small box like an empty cream tub. This way you won't lose them and they will be there for you to use. You can also decorate your small box by painting it, adding stickers or writing bobby pins to make it look lovely.

Or, if you want the bobby pins to be right there for you to grab, attaching them to a magnetic strip and then placing the strip inside a draw or around a makeup brush holder will be efficient.
Lovelyindeed

5. Apply Lash Glue

If you have trouble applying glue to false eyelashes or you need something to apply it with, you can use the end of a bobby pin to apply the glue onto the eyelashes, it will be much easier and the right amount will be applied.

6. Use it for nail art

If you love nail art but, you just don't have all the tools to make the lovely patterns, you can use the end of a bobby pin to create dots, flowers, hearts, stars and even lines. It's a good alternative to nail art tools.

Lacqueredlover

7. Hiding Pins In Hair

If you want to hide bobby pins in your hair get the same colour bobby pins as your hair colour to hide them in your hair. So, for black hair black bobby pins, for brown hair brown bobby pins and gold colour for blonde or light brown hair colour.

8. Alternative to bobbles

If you love creating new hairstyles and braids to your hair, but you don't have small elastic bobbles or enough of them, you can use a bobby pin to secure the braids and hairstyles in place instead of small elastic bottles, they will do the same job.

9. Fixing bobby pins

If your bobby pin has widened just use pliers to push the side down together or another recommended technique is to criss-cross the two grips of the bobby pin so first pushing one side to the left and then one side to the right and then push it back to it's normal position and it should be back as normal. Here is a video which shows how to do it Fix Loose Bobby Pins.

10. Bobby Pin Right Way

Finally, in case you don't know you use the bobby pin so the flat side of it should be showing on your hair and the zig zag part of should be in underneath in your hair this helps the grips to hold on to your hair and keep it in place.

I hope you enjoyed these bobby pin tips and hacks, and will want to use them to make life with bobby pins more easier.☺

Avon Extra Lasting & Natural Inkane Red Lipstick Review & Comparison

Wednesday, 13 July 2016

In this review I will be reviewing and comparing two drugstore lipsticks that are affordable to purchase and which are from two different brands, but are similar in colour.

The first lipstick is Avon Extra Lasting Lipstick in the colour Ravishing Rose, this lipstick is from the brand Avon, there are other colours available in pink, brown and red. This lipstick includes SPF15 and claims to last up to 8 hours even though it is not matte. You can purchase this from Avon online or if you have Avon brochures.

The second lipstick is Natural Inkane Lipstick in the colour 616, this is a lipstick not made in the UK it is an Asian lipstick, unfortunately I just checked and the website currently do not sell this lipstick anymore, instead it has been replaced with others.

Price- The Avon lipstick I purchased when it was on offer for £4.00, however Avon do keep on changing prices up and down so the price for this lipstick is not a fixed price. The Inkane Lipstick I purchased for nearly half of the Avon lipstick price which was £2.10.

Scent- The Inkane Lipstick surprisingly does not have a scent to it at all when applied on the lips it does not smell of anything. The Avon lipstick when smelt smells very sweet somewhat like sweet raspberries, when applying the lipstick on the lips you can smell it, but I like the smell it smells sweet.

Quality-   The Avon lipstick is an extra lasting lipstick as it claims to be, it can last more longer than the other lipstick but I would say it does not last 8 hours as it does smudge off when you eat or drink something and does transfer, and it feels very moisturising when applied. However, the Inkane lipstick has glitter in the formula, so when applied glitter will also appear and can sometimes smudge to other parts of the face which is something I do not like about it, but they do have other lipsticks too in that collection which do not include glitter, for example the colour 607 is a neutral colour.

Packaging- The packaging for the Inkane lipstick I think looks beautiful with the silver gems stuck on the packaging makes it look really appealing. The packaging for the Avon lipstick is pretty simple it is red and has extra lasting written on the lid of the lipstick.

The finishing look for the Inkane Lipstick looks lovely it gives me a glossy shiny look on the lips, and the Avon lipstick really gives my lips the red colour and it feels very soft on the lips. Both lipsticks are pretty enough the same colour the only difference is that the Avon lipstick is more pigmented in colour and when applied on the lips it actually looks more of a lighter red than the actual lipstick colour, the Inkane lipstick has more glitter to it whereas the Avon lipstick does not at all.

Overall, I enjoyed using these lipsticks and will recommend them when looking to purchase affordable lipsticks.

How to Add a Facebook Page Widget To Your Blog

Thursday, 7 July 2016

If you have a Facebook Page about your blog or is related to your blog and you want to add it to your blog, then that would be something great to do,  linking your Facebook Page visibly on your blog will give you more audience but also allow your followers to stay connected with you, you can do this by following these simple steps in this post.

Firstly, make sure you are logged in from the Facebook account where you have the page which you want to add to your blog. Then open this link to be redirected to the Facebook plugin page
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/page-plugin/

Where it says Facebook Page URL, enter your Facebook page URL, and you can adjust the height and width of the widget. The recommended size for a Facebook page widget is width 380 and height 200, but its totally up to you to check out which size you prefer best.

There are additional settings as well which you can make to your widget when setting up.

After you have finished customising your widget to the way you want it. Click on Get Code.
When you click on get code it will give you two codes similar to this which you need to add into your blog.

To add the codes go to your blog then click on Layout, then click on add a gadget where you want to place the Facebook page widget.

This part is really simple all you need to is click on HTML/JavaScript and enter both of the codes into the content and click save, that's it the Facebook Page widget should be working for you.
This method is much easier and better because some of us may not prefer messing with the HTML so just entering both of the codes into the HTML/JavaScript will be easier.

Others may prefer entering the JavaScript tag into the template HTML, you can do that as well by going to Template, Edit HTML, then find </body> and paste the code.

Both of these ways work the same way it just depends on the way you want to do it, I recommend doing it by placing both codes together as a gadget, as they are both there together in one place so in case you need to remove the widget you can just remove the gadget.

After installing the Facebook Page widget on your blog when you post on your page it will automatically update on your blog if your widget has posts showing.

Collection Fast Stroke Eyeliner Review

Thursday, 30 June 2016

My review on the Collection Fast Stroke Eyeliner in the colour Black 1. This is a liquid eyeliner from the brand Collection cosmetics apart from this colour you can get other colours including brown, blue and waterproof black.  This eyeliner retails at a price of £2.99.

The formula of the product is great once applied it will not crack and it will give you a good eyeliner look. The colour of the eyeliner is precise its a bold black and it is very pigmented, when applied it dries instantly and can last the whole day if not touched.

What I liked about this eyeliner:
-It does not smudge, flake or dissolve
-Gives a good finishing result
-Affordable price

What I disliked about this eyeliner:
-This eyeliner is so good that if you are going to wear this often you are probably going to find yourself purchasing this often because it is quite small, it is 3.5 ml.
-It can sometimes drag the eyeliner when applying this is because the formula of it is watery, so you have to be steady with it and gentle when applying.
-Another thing is that packaging of the eyeliner

You can see in the image the tip of the eyeliner isn't quite thin, it is medium sized and the tip of the wand is soft, it is good for when you are trying to make the winged look. Another thing is that the packaging of the eyeliner is small and efficient, but that does mean that some of the product will be left inside which you won't be able to get out with the wand.

Overall, I love this product because of the finishing results it dries matte, and it gives my eyes the perfect look. Therefore I would score this product 4 out of 5 and will definitely repurchase this product in the future because it's cheap and totally worth it. This eyeliner is available to purchase at Superdrug.

Makeup Tips All About The Eyes

Sunday, 26 June 2016

These tips are about your eyes, the three types of makeup that are used on your eyes is eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara. You can enhance your eye makeup skills with the basics and these simple tips which are suitable for beginners and anyone else who wants to know more about eye makeup.

Before we start to apply eye makeup or makeup around our eyes we want to make sure we go in the right order, so the following steps are easy for us and even if we do make a mistake it will not affect the other parts of the makeup.

Firstly, we apply makeup to our eyelids using eyeshadow, now if you think you are probably going to make a bit of a mess then here is a tip which can help. Apply baby powder underneath your eyes and then carry on with your eyeshadow when you have finished with applying eyeshadow then simply get a blusher brush or any other brush which you can swipe off the eyeshadow and baby powder from underneath your eyes.

There are different types of brushes we can use from several brands, eyeshadow brushes include: large eyeshadow brush to apply basic eyeshadow,
precision shadow brush to apply eyeshadow on top of basic eyeshadow,                                                 blending shadow brush this is to blend in our crease,
blending tip brush this is to blend in the outer corner of your eye,
smudger brush this is used to smudge eyeshadow along the lower lash line and we also have the normal eyeshadow applicators.

Eyeshadows come in different forms including cream eyeshadows, loose eyeshadows, pressed eyeshadows those are the most common type which you find in eyeshadow palettes. Patting the eyeshadows rather than wiping the eyeshadow on the eyelid can help you achieve better results. If you want to achieve an intense eyeshadow look using white eyeliner or eyeshadow can help you with that. To keep your eyeshadow more long-lasting eye primer or even using concealer or eyeshadow base underneath can do the trick.

Using eyeshadow pencil or eyeliner can help to achieve a defined look as you have more control using them. If you have hooded eyes try applying eyeshadow with your eyes open so you can visibly see the result. Practising is the key to perfection the more you practice applying eyeshadow the easier it will get.

When applying eyeshadows and colours on your eyes it can be a struggle to figure out what colour to apply where, but the general tips are that the lightest colour works well as a brow bone highlighter, the second lightest colour looks good on your eyelid, the second darkest colour brings out more colour in your crease and the darkest colour works well in your outer corner. To achieve a smokey eye makeup look use a pencil eyeliner  and smudge it because it is more creamier.

After the eyeshadow step is finished, we can move onto eyeliner, there are different forms of eyeliners we have liquid eyeliners, pencil eyeliners, gel eyeliners, eyeliner pens. Eyeliner can be applied with angled liner brush, precision liner brush and smudger brush this is used to smudge the eyeliner underneath the eyes. When choosing what type of eyeliner to wear you can note that black is bold and brown is for everyday. White eyeliner can also help make your eyes look more bigger.

Before curling or applying mascara to your eyelashes apply vaseline to them personally I find this helps my eyelashes look longer and provides a good mascara base. For long lasting curled eyelashes warm your eyelash curler using a hair dryer for about 10 to 15 seconds and wait about 30 seconds before using the eyelash curler. If you want to use the eyelash curler after mascara is applied then make sure the mascara is semi-wet and not dry.

There are different types of mascaras for all kind of reasons, for volume, for bolder eyelashes, for longer eyelashes, for natural looks. They even come in as waterproof. When applying mascara make sure you are not pumping the wand because this can dry it out.

The mascara comb brush has one side to remove the mascara clumps and the brush side to brush your eyebrows.
A setting spray for makeup can leave a long lasting result for your eye makeup but this is optional.
